It's always a special moment when one of our books does well in the Nielsen New Zealand Bookscan charts, but doubly so when it tops the New Zealand list as Haare Williams: Words of a Kaumātua has done for us this week. 

Indeed the AUP team felt just how special, celebrated and revered Haare Williams is at Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae on Saturday 16 November while launching his new book. Below are a few pics from the day of Haare with his editor and cousin Witi Ihimaera and Whaea Lynda Toki. There was much laughter and waiata and, we can report, the best seafood chowder and fry bread ever. Ka rawe!
