Convenience Fee

From January 2020, payments made to all departments of the University of Auckland via credit card will incur an additional Convenience Fee. Auckland University Press incurs ongoing third party fees for accepting and processing credit card payments, and the fee covers these charges.

The card payment convenience fee is an additional 1.9% that is applied to payments that you choose to pay for AUP books using your credit card or debit card online.

Please note: If you're a customer who banks with one of the major New Zealand banks, you can avoid paying the fee by using the 'Account 2 Account' option at the Payment Express payment portal.

RECEIPTS FOR CONVENIENCE CARD FEES

AUP webstore order receipts do not display the convenience fee on them as they are a separate transaction applied after the fact. However should you require a receipt these can be generated by Payment Express if you click the option during in the Payment Express window. If you miss this option and do require a receipt of the fee, please do email us at pressorders@auckland.ac.nz and we can get that to you.
